Libraries Offers Late Night Beverages and Comforts During Finals

Students studying for finals can find lots of comfortable study space plus late night beverages at the Sterling C. Evans/Annex, West Campus, and Medical Sciences Libraries. To relieve the stress that accompanies finals, they can also take advantage of chair massages in the evenings at Evans and West Campus Libraries. Staff from Student Health Services will offer massages Dec. 9, 13, and 14 from 7-9 p.m. in the Evans Library Whitley Suite (first floor) and the West Campus Library in Room 127. The Medical Sciences Library will offer chair massages Dec. 9th, 13th & 14 from 7p.m.-9 p.m.

Free coffee and hot chocolate will be available Dec. 9, 12, 13, and 14 beginning at 9:30 p.m. at the Evans Library and 10 p.m. at West Campus Library. Medical Sciences Library is offering hot beverages until Dec. 17 beginning at 9 p.m.

“Providing comforts to sustain students during this stressful period of the semester has become a tradition at the libraries. We are especially fortunate to have funding from the Federation of Texas A&M University Mothers’ Clubs Library Endowment to help cover the costs,” explained Dennis Clark, head of Public and Research Services. He added that with the closing of the Memorial Student Center, the University Libraries offers an alternative late night study space for many students.
