Access Catalogs through Back-up Database July 20-22
Marketing and Communications | July 13, 2011
The University Libraries will upgrade the integrated library system to new hardware starting Wednesday July 20, 8:30 p.m.
Library users can access LibCat and the Medical Sciences Library (MSL) catalog through the back-up database during the upgrade. Users will still be able to search for books, but the check out details may be out of date and Get it for me will be unavailable from LibCat or the MSL catalog. Get it for me will still be available from the Get it for me homepage. Users will not be able to access personal data in either catalog during the upgrade.
The upgrade and planned down time will last at least through midday Friday, July 22, and possibly longer.
“We regret the temporary disruption and appreciate the patience of our users during this time. The upgraded system will improve access to materials,” commented Bennett Ponsford, Digital Services librarian.
