Libraries and Thesis Office to Offer Copyright and Publishing Workshops

The Texas A&M University Libraries and the Thesis Office will offer a workshop series on copyright and publishing for graduate students, faculty advisers, and other stakeholders. The one-hour workshops are designed to help develop critical knowledge and skills around copyright, publishing, and open access.
The following is a list of workshop topics and schedules:
Fair Use: Using Copyrighted Material in Your Thesis/Dissertation and Other Research Works
Friday, Oct. 5, 2012 – 1-2 p.m., Register in advance.
Creative Commons Licenses: A Prerequisite for Publishing Your Research via Open Access
Friday, Oct. 5, 2012 – 2:15-3:15 p.m., Register in advance.
Publication and Managing Author Rights
Friday, Oct. 12, 2012 – 12:30-1:30 p.m., Register in advance.
All workshops will be presented by Gail Clement, associate professor and head of Digital Services and Scholarly Communication at the Libraries. Space is limited and early registration is recommended.
