Upcoming Changes to “Search Now”
Marketing and Communications | May 10, 2013
Now that the Texas A&M University Libraries has our new Search, we will be cancelling our old “Search Now” service on or before the end of August. Our new Search offers very similar features including: a single search of our catalogs, institutional repository, and journal articles; direct links to full text; links to Get it for me when full text is not available; and the ability to save your searches and results to your “e-Shelf”.
In preparation for shutting down “Search Now”, we will be migrating information from people’s “Search Now” bookbags and making it available to them in their My Library Record account.
Please note: This will not affect your LibCat or MSL Catalog bookbags.
If you have information stored in your “Search Now” bookbag, you do not need to do anything immediately. We will send you an email when your citations are available in My Library Record and will be providing a Research Guide with instructions on how to download your bookbag into either the Endnote or RefWorks citation management software. The citations will remain available in My Library Record for at least a year.
For more information contact Bennett Ponsford, digital services librarian.
