Identify a problem and the civil-engineering solution.  Identify the contemporary issues that are affecting the identification, formation, and solution of the problem.

Sources (minimum of 3):  News, magazines, professional publications, online sources, etc.; at least one must be from a printed newspaper or news magazine (a copy of the article will be required to be submitted).

Academic Search Complete - This is an article database (search engine).  Conduct a search.  When viewing your search results, use the tool on the left to Narrow Results by Source Types > Magazines.

Newspapers

Recent issues of newspapers are available in the Current Periodicals area on the second floor of Evans Library, arranged on the shelves in alphabetical order by title.  There are searchable online versions of newspapers:

LexisNexis Academic:  Choose the News tab.  See the box Sources: U.S. Newspapers and Wires.  Right below is a drop-down list of papers from which you may select as many as you like.  Included are the Austin American Statesman, the Dallas Morning News, and the Houston Chronicle.  If you want to search a time period longer than the latest 3 months, use the drop-down box next to Specify date.
