Mental Measurements Yearbook

Mental Measurements Yearbook

Access the online version of the Mental Measurements Yearbook through the library homepage at library.tamu.edu or click on the link above.

In the search section of the homepage, select Databases and enter the word “mental” in the Search for Databases box. Click Search.

Click on the link to the trial version of Mental Measurements Yearbook (EBSCO).

There is more than one way to search for a test:

1.  Type the name of the test, either whole or part, in the first search box. Select TI Test Name from the drop-down menu. Click Search.

Ex: degrees of reading power   in    TI Test Name

Click on the name of the test to access the record. The record contains information about the test, such as population, administration, etc. that you will need for your paper.

Scroll down to access the review.

If you like, you can print out the record and the reviews by clicking on the printer icon at the top of the record.

2.  You can also search by administration, yearbook edition, test category, publication date, or number of reviews by selecting the appropriate limiters on the search screen.

For example, if you wanted to see all the tests in the Reading category, select Reading in the Test Category box and click Search.

3.  Click on the Indexes link at the top of the screen to search for tests in different indexes (author, reviewer, etc.).

For example, if you wanted to see all the tests by one author, you could search for that author in the author index.

Additional Information

The online version of MMY only has the latest edition of a test. If you need the 2nd revision of a test that has been revised four times, you will need to use the print version of Mental Measurements Yearbook, available in the Reference Area of Evans Library.

If the test has an ordinal number in its title (1st, 2nd, 3rd, etc.), you will need to spell out the number in order to find the test.

If the test has an ampersand (&) in its title, you will need to spell out the word "and" in order to find the test.
