Finding Refereed/ Peer-Reviewed Articles in Academic Journals
-
Adademic Search Complete: ASC is a full-text scholarly database of more than 9,500 journals (4,600 peer-reviewed) in almost every academic discipline.
-
ERIC (Ebsco): ERIC provides access to more than 1 million abstracts of education related documents and journal articles from 1966 to the present.
Because both of these journals use the same platform, EBSCO, you can search them simultaneously. Follow these steps:
- From the library home page- http//library.tamu.edu/ click on the Databases tab at the top center of the screen and then enter the name: Academic Search Complete in the search box.
- When you get to the Ebsco search page, click the option at the top of the page labeled choose Databases, when the box opens, click the boxt next to ERIC. Close the box and begin your search.
- Enter your search terms. Both ERIC (education related resources) and Academic Search Complete (more general resources) will be searched.
