SUBJECT OPTION : One
You are to investigate one of the journals listed below, find an article that piques your interest and read that article. Then you are to find two articles that are referenced in that article and read them. In each of those you are to find two articles that are referenced and read them. Then you are to discuss in a 5 to 8-page paper the main points of the primary article, the ‘paths’ referenced in the second articles and the ‘sub-paths’ referenced in the third generation articles.
SUBJECT OPTION : Two
Review the text and identify a subject in which you have a personal interest. Read this section immediately and identify an area of interest to pursue in contemporary scientific literature. Select a specific topic and review the contemporary literature on the subject. Rather than working backwards to determine where ideas came from, you are to establish and report on the most current thinking and state of the art in our understanding of the subject. Identify and document the subject in at least two independent peer reviewed periodical sources. You are to discuss in a 5 to 8-page paper the main points of the investigation as outlined above. Fully cite the work referenced and include a reference to the primary personalities considered expert in that field of investigation.
