Charlene Clark
Charlene Clark is Development and Promotion Coordinator at the Texas A&M University Libraries. She coordinates marketing, communications, and development for Texas A&M’s five libraries. She has worked at the Sterling C. Evans Library since 1984 when she joined the staff as the first full time development professional. She managed public relations during a period of major renovation and expansion in the 1990s when the libraries grew from one to six facilities. She is currently engaged in promoting the University Libraries’ growing collections and services, particularly in the digital realm. Prior to her employment at the University Libraries, she worked as an information specialist in energy conservation and research at Texas A&M. She has also been a visiting assistant professor in the English Department at Texas A&M. In her earlier academic career she taught literature, business communication, technical and creative writing courses at various universities in the Greensboro, North Carolina area. She holds a Ph.D. in English from Louisiana State University, M. A. in English from the University of Arkansas, and B. A. in English from the University of Louisiana (formerly University of Southwestern Louisiana).
