Charlene Clark is Communications Coordinator and part of the Marketing team at the Texas A&M University Libraries. She has worked at the Sterling C. Evans Library since 1984 when she joined the staff as the first full time development professional. She coordinated development and public relations during a period of major renovation and expansion in the 1990s when the libraries grew from one to six facilities. Prior to her employment at the University Libraries, she worked as an information specialist in energy conservation and research at Texas A&M. She has also been a visiting assistant professor in the English Department at Texas A&M. In her earlier academic career she taught literature, business communication, technical and creative writing courses at various universities in the Greensboro, North Carolina area. She holds a Ph.D. in English from Louisiana State University, M. A. in English from the University of Arkansas, and B. A. in English from the University of Louisiana (formerly University of Southwestern Louisiana).
