Beat the Heat with Free Lemonade at Evans Library

To get relief from the searing 100 degree temperatures, the Sterling C. Evans Library at Texas A&M University is offering a new service: free lemonade on the concourse.  Library staff set up an information and lemonade table on the Evans Library concourse  from 2-4 pm. on Thursday, June 25.  Visitors stopped by to grab a glass of lemonade and some library brochures while cooling off.

“In our first hour we had over 70 people stop by our table. A campus tour took a detour for refreshments and library information in our second hour and wiped out our supplies. We had to make more lemonade to keep up with demand." explained Dorothy Fos a staff member in Public and Research Services. “We plan to offer free lemonade in the afternoon throughout the summer whenever the mercury soars above the upper 90s,” she added.
