Sterling C. Evans Library & Library Annex
Centrally located on the main campus adjacent to the Academic Building, the Evans Library contains access services (circulation desk), interlibrary loan services, reading rooms and study rooms, conference rooms, coffee shop, course reserves & current periodicals room, reference services, instructional services, curriculum collection, map room, the Dorothy Whitley Legacy of Learning Suite, and the general collections.  Named for Sterling C. Evans ’21.

The Annex contains group study rooms, Educational Media Services, state and federal documents collections, TAMU digital library, records management, gifts, systems and collections management.

Dorothy G. Whitley Legacy of Learning Suite
Located on the first floor of Evans Library, the Whitley Suite serves as a recognition area honoring library donors, distinguished A&M professors and students, as well as, award winning library staff, faculty and students.  Named for Dorothy G. Whitley, longtime friend and benefactor of Evans Library.

Charles Benjamin Look Reference Center
Located on the 1st floor of the Evans Library, the Look Reference Center houses the University Libraries’ main reference collections.  Named in honor of Charles Benjamin Look, father of Dwight Look ’43.

Cushing Memorial Library & Archives
Located between the Academic Building and the Evans Library, the Cushing Library is the rare book, manuscript, research collection, and archive repository for Texas A&M University. The holdings of the Cushing Memorial Library include rare books, maps, pamphlets, manuscripts, photographs, ephemera, newspapers, government documents, microfilm, audio tapes, video tapes, artifacts, prints, paintings, drawings, and many other materials. Opened in 1930, Cushing Library was the first building on campus constructed solely as a library. Named for Edward Benjamin Cushing, Class of 1880.

Dr. Thomas Mayo - Mrs. W. H. "Willie" Thomas Seminar Room
Commonly referred to as the Mayo-Thomas Room, this room is located on the 1st floor of the Cushing Memorial Library.  It provides the setting for graduate seminars and undergraduate lectures, as well as meetings, receptions, and special lectures.  Named in honor of Dr. Thomas Mayo and Mrs. W. H. Thomas, two librarians who were pioneers in collection development and services at Texas A&M during the first half of the 20th century.  Naming made possible through a gift of Dr. C. Clifford Wendler ’39.

Dr. C. Clifford Wendler Exhibit Gallery
Located on the 2nd floor of the Cushing Memorial Library, the Wendler Gallery area showcases artwork and exhibits.  Named for Dr. C. Clifford Wendler ’39.

Mavis P. and Mary Kelsey Reading Room
Located on the 2nd Floor of the Cushing Memorial Library, the Kelsey Reading Room serves as a secure area for rare and valued materials/collections that are used primarily for research purposes.   Materials in this area are non-circulating to ensure continued preservation.  Named for Dr. and Mrs. Mavis Kelsey ’32.

Class of 1947 Gateway
Located on the 2nd floor of the Cushing Memorial Library at the entrance of the Mavis P. and Mary Kelsey Reading Room, the wrought iron gateway is made up of famous Texas brands.  Named for the Class of 1947.

R.C. Barclay Reference & Retailing Resources Center
Located on the 1st floor of the West Campus Library, this state-of-the-art electronic reference center serves the information needs of business, retailing and agricultural students and faculty.  Named in honor of Randall C. Barclay, co-founder of Randalls Food Markets.

Policy Sciences & Economics Library
Located on the 1st floor of the Academic Building – West Rm. 1076 in the George Bush Presidential Library Center on the West Campus. PSEL features a specialized collection of periodicals, reference materials, and current monographs in the fields of political science, government, public services, and economics. PSEL is dedicated to Mary & Jeff Bell.
