GIFTS OF BOOKS AND OTHER LIBRARY MATERIALS
The Texas A&M University Libraries, through its Gift Department, welcomes the gift of books and other materials in support of the teaching, research, and service missions of the University. We reserve the right to decline gifts if they duplicate existing holdings, if the subject matter is outside the scope of the library's collections, or if there are donor restrictions that we cannot honor. Donated materials become the sole property of Texas A&M University Libraries without restriction as to use or disposition.
Please contact the Gifts Department to discuss your donation before bringing or sending materials to us. To assist in the evaluation of potential gifts, we encourage donors to provide a list of materials including the name, dates, and general condition of the material. Because library materials require significant resources to catalog and maintain, we also encourage donors to consider a monetary gift to help defray these costs.
The Gifts Department is responsible for the receipt and acknowledgment of materials donated to the TAMU Libraries. Appraisals and valuations are the responsibility of the donor.
For further information about giving books and other materials to the TAMU Libraries, contact Simona Tabacaru at stabacar@lib-gw.tamu.edu or (979) 845-8850.
