Traveling This Summer?

Go see the Evans Library Map Room! They have a great collection of travel books and guides that you can check out and plan your trip.

The Map Room is located on the 2nd Floor of Evans Library, and there are really friendly people to help. You can browse the travel books and atlases, or you can search for them in the online catalog, Libcat, http://libcat.tamu.edu/

Or, browse this list of travel books in Libcat before you go to the Map Room.

Bon Voyage!

New Student Lounge

This place is seriously cool! If you haven't been to the new student lounge in Evans Library yet, you must come by and visit. It is really popular now, so you may be vying for seating space, the TV remote, or the other cool things we have in here for you.

Thanks to the Aggie Mother's Club Library Endowment, we were able to create this space in the Instructional Services area.

Tax Free Textbooks???

According to an article in The Battalion today, the Texas Legislator will be voting on Senate Bill 49, that will allow students to buy textbooks tax-free during a 10 day period in August and January.

This is great news...read more about the potential vote on this Bill in the Batt.

Finals Time!

As usual, the libraries will extend hours during finals and offer free coffee and beverages in the lobby of the Evans & Annex, and WCL libraries. Good luck on your finals, be safe, and study hard!

Textbooks at the Library

Did you know the library purchases textbooks for you to check out at the library? Evans and WCL both have a large collection of textbooks on reserve for you to check out. Search the library catalog, LibCat to see if we have your course books. Check LibCat before next semester to see if we have any new books for your classes or make a request.

If you have questions or requests, don't forget to email me!

Find Scholarly Articles Fast

Another helpful hint to getting scholarly articles fast...for your research paper!

Use the library search engine called Academic Search Premier. You can find scholarly articles and news articles on almost any topic! When you get results from your search look for the HTML or PDF full text. If you don't see one of those links, click on the Find Text @ TAMU link to find the full text of the article.

If you have questions or need more help, email Christina at chgola@tamu.edu or use
