Texas A&M University Libraries Giving/Memorial Program

Create a lasting tribute to a special person in your life while educating future generations of Aggies.  Whether it’s a gift for graduation, a memorial tribute, a birthday, an anniversary, or for retirement, here are the many ways you can pay tribute to a loved one:

BOOK MEMORIALS  ~   Your gift will speak volumes, by funding volumes. Your gift of $50 - $500 will honor/memorialize a loved one, friend or classmate by funding a volume(s) for the Texas A&M University Libraries’ collection.  The honoree’s name will be noted on the bookplate of the selected book, and the honoree (or family member) will receive notification of the gift along with a copy of the volume’s dust jacket. If a donation is not designated to be used for a book memorial by the donor, then the funds will go into the general library fund and will be used for library materials and resources. (Book memorial form.)

LAMPS~ Give the gift of enlightenment. Your gift of $650 will fund an attractive desk lamp in the Cushing Memorial Library & Archives.  An inscribed brass plate denoting the donor’s or honoree’s name will be affixed to the desk lamp located on the long, oak, reading tables in the Mavis & Mary Kelsey Reading Room on the 2nd floor. (Giving form)

CHAIRS ~ Your gift of $2,000 will fund a beautiful oak chair replicated from the original Cushing Library reading room chairs.  Each chair is engraved with the Agricultural and Mechanical College of Texas seal - the university seal that was popularly used in the 1930’s. An inscribed brass plate denoting the donor’s or honoree’s name will be placed on the back of the chair. (Giving form)

OUTDOOR BENCHES ~ Your gift of $3,000 will provide a place for students who enjoy studying outdoors. Located along the pillars of the south side of the Sterling C. Evans Library, your bench will have an inscribed bronze plaque with a black leatherette background denoting donor’s or honoree’s name.  (Giving form)

DISPLAY CASES ~ Exhibit your support by funding an attractive oak display case.  With your gift of $10,000 you will help the Cushing Memorial Library proudly show our prized special collections, rare books, university archives and other treasures to students, researchers and patrons. (Giving form)

TABLES ~  Set the table of knowledge…by funding one. Your gift of $15,000 will fund a beautifully replicated oak reading table from the 1930’s in the Cushing Memorial Library. An inscribed brass plate denoting the donor’s or honoree’s name will be placed on the table. (Giving form)

BOOKCASES ~ Make a case for books by funding a bookcase.  With your gift of $50,000 your name or the name of your chosen honoree will be inscribed on a brass plate and affixed to the lovely restored oak bookcases in the Cushing Memorial Library.(Giving form)
