Research Assistance
Research Assistance is available from service points at all of the TAMU Libraries. Research librarians and staff use both general and subject-specific reference collections, electronic databases and journals, and other information resources to assist users with information requests.
- Individual consultations are available from subject specialist librarians to provide graduate students and faculty with in-depth assistance with research and special projects.
- Many electronic resources are available to users affiliated with TAMU. Online library catalogs, databases, and electronic journals can be accessed through the Texas A&M University Libraries' Search Now electronic resource locator.
- TAMU students, faculty, and staff can request information assistance from their dorms/homes/offices or when the library is closed by using any of our virtual reference service options.
- Reference services are intended for Texas A&M University students, staff, faculty, and other affiliates. If you are not affiliated with Texas A&M University, we can only answer questions about services and collections unique to Texas A&M. We may refer inquiries to other libraries or sources of information.
