Using Recalls Responsibly

As Recalls inconvenience other users, follow these guidelines:

  • Make sure a shelf copy is not still available Find and hold a book (Get it for me!)
  • Recall only one checked-out copy of the book
  • Choose the copy that has the soonest due date or least number of requests pending
  • Only recall items you really need
  • Do not use the recall process as a replacement for buying a textbook

For Medical Sciences Library

Contact Client Services if you need a book currently checked out from the Medical Sciences Collection

RECALL SUSPENSION

Due to travel by students and Instructors during the winter holidays between the Fall and Spring semesters, recall requests for books from the University Libraries will not be placed.

If you have an urgent research need during the suspension for a checked-out book, please contact the Evans Library Check out desk at 845-3731 or via email at LibraryNotices@lib-gw.tamu.edu

At the start of the Spring semester, all requests placed using the “Recall checked out material” web form will be processed in the order in which they were received.
