The Texas A&M University Libraries will celebrate the launch of a new version of Web of Knowledge, a web-based resource that gives library users access to more content and powerful research tools in the sciences, social sciences, arts, and humanities. Thomson Reuters, Web of Knowledge vendor, will partner with the University Libraries in hosting the event from 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m., April 5 at the Sterling C. Evans Library, Room 204E.
Activities will feature live demos, conversation with the product experts, and a contest to win an Apple iPad for participating students. Refreshments will be available courtesy of Thomson Reuters.
“We are delighted Thomson Reuters chose us as a site to launch the new version of Web of Knowledge. Our students and faculty will greatly benefit from its powerful searching, tracking, and measuring capabilities,“ explained Jane Smith, coordinator of electronic resources at the Libraries. This research platform provides access to the world's leading citation databases, she added.
