General Description:

This faculty position serves as liaison to various departments in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences (COALS) and to the Health and Kinesiology Program in the College of Education. As needed and requested by colleague librarians, provides liaison services to other departments or groups. Functions as a member of the Client Services team, providing reference, education and research services to the library's users.

General Duties:

  • Serves as liaison to the COALS Departments of: Biochemistry and Biophysics, Food and Nutrition, and Recreation, Parks and Tourism. Keep current on the programs offered and related library needs of each area.
  • Provide proactive, client-centered information, education, and research services using a variety of methods and technologies for faculty, students, researchers and staff across assigned departments
  • Work with colleague COALS liaison librarians, to develop and assess library services and resources that are part of a holistic services plan.
  • Participate in collection development and collection assessment for both print and electronic resources across HSC disciplines with primary responsibility for pharmacy resources
  • Participate in library-wide planning and evaluation activities


  • Participate in scholarly activities and professional service commensurate with TAMU Libraries and University requirements for promotion and tenure (if applicable).
