General Description:

This faculty position serves as the liaison for the Biomedical Sciences (BIMS) undergraduate program and the graduate programs in the College of Veterinary Medicine (CVM). As needed and requested by colleague librarians, provides liaison services to other departments or groups. Functions as a member of the Client Services team, providing reference, education and research services to the library's users.

General Duties:

  • Serves as liaison for BIMS and one of the liaisons to CVM. Keeps current on the programs offered and related library needs of each area.
  • Provides proactive, client-centered information, education, and research services using a variety of methods and technologies for faculty, students, researchers and staff across assigned departments
  • Works with colleague liaison librarians, to develop, assess and market library services and resources that are part of a holistic services plan.
  • Participates in collection development and collection assessment for both print and electronic resources.
  • Supports the Scholarly Communication initiative of the University Library in open access, institutional repository, and impact metrics.
  • Participates in library-wide planning and evaluation activities
