You can access all of the Libraries online resources from off campus. Libraries help and consultations are predominantly remote and virtual for the spring. There will be staff at the Libraries to answer questions but they are limited to 10 minutes before we’ll ask you to schedule a remote consultation. The Assistive Technology Room in Evans will be available on a first-come-first-served basis. Ask at the AskUs desk for access to the room. The stacks are currently closed. All requests for print items must be made online and can be picked up at either Evans or MSL through no contact delivery. Faculty office delivery is also available. We are not currently lending high-turnover items including laptops, equipment, whiteboard markers, CDs, and print course reserves. To return print items, interlibrary loan items, DVDs, Blu-rays, and CDs, please use the bookdrops. To return equipment, please take the item(s) to the AskUs desk in Evans. The Libraries are not able to offer copyright consultations for the Spring 2021 semester. For Spring semester, materials on reserve will be made available in electronic format only to support a hyflex teaching environment. The Libraries will attempt to license ebooks, as well as digitize print material where possible to meet instructor needs. Items can be requested through no contact delivery. Access to the collections held by Cushing Memorial Library & Archives are predominantly filled through digitization but appointments can be made to view items. Exhibit viewing is first come, first served, but appointments can be made. The Libraries are currently integrated into eCampus. We are not yet integrated into Canvas. Evans MSL School visitors services will not be offered for the Spring 2021 semester. The Libraries instruction sessions and services are predominately remote or virtual for Spring 2021. Our librarians, curators, and instructional staff have increased course support through online class guides, tutorials, and asynchronous instruction methods. Access to the maps collection will be predominantly filled through digitizations but appointments can be made to view the items. The microform machine on the first floor of Evans will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Please contact AskUs about access to materials. Movies and CDs are not available for check out. OAL Computers are available at all locations with social distancing protocols in place. Please see the OAL website for all up-to-date information. All online resources are available. The Libraries have several initiatives for the support of open access and OER adoption. These services are offered predominantly remotely for Spring 2021. The Patent and Trademark Resource Center services are offered predominantly remotely for Spring 2021. Evans BLCC Printers, scanners, and copiers are available at all open locations. Please practice social distancing when using this equipment. Research Data Management services are offered predominantly remotely for Spring 2021. Scholarly communication services are offered predominantly remotely for Spring 2021. If you already have a study carrel assigned to you, you may continue to use your study carrel. Keep important material in your possession and not in your carrel this semester in case access to the building is restricted due to unforeseen circumstances. We are not currently accepting new requests for study carrels. Group and Individual study rooms are not currently available for reservations. All study rooms are closed for group and individual use. Please see our FAQ for more details. Subject specialists are available for research consultation, library instruction, and collection development. All services are offered predominantly remotely for Spring 2021. Systematic review services and support are offered predominantly remotely for Spring 2021. Students Course Instructors The Press is open to visitors by appointment. Please contact the press to make an appointment. The Veterans Study Lounge is not currently available.
