Photography & Filming Policy

Photography Policy

Patrons are welcome to use their own cameras to take photographs of collections materials for private research purposes only. Flash photography, tripods, and other specialized equipment are expressly prohibited. 

All relevant policies pertaining the handling of materials and use of the Reading Room still apply. The posting of any image to the Internet or social media is considered publication and subject to the terms of Cushing Library's Notification to Publish form.

Filming Request Procedure

Requests for filming in Cushing Memorial Library & Archives should be made in writing via email. Please note that requests should be submitted a minimum of five working days prior to your need-to-know deadline to allow time for appropriate approvals to be sought.
