Opportunities for Students
The University Libraries hire a number of student workers in positions such as: AskUs desk worker, IT student tech, preservation and digitization assistant, shelving assistant, and administrative clerk. We offer flexible work schedules and locations allowing students to work in between classes right on campus. Any student at an institution of learning is eligible to work for the Libraries. Students do not have to attend Texas A&M and some positions are available for high school students.

The Libraries serve one of the largest universities in the nation with over 77,000 students, and 4,000 faculty members. To serve these groups effectively, the Libraries are provided with an abundance of resources to support librarians and librarian professionals.
University Librarian & Assistant Provost Julie Mosbo Ballestro has a bold vision on moving the library into a future focused on connecting, discovering, and creating.

Offers to librarians at Texas A&M University include relocation stipends. Once you get here, you’ll earn $3,000 travel and training budgets each year!
Depending on years of experience, Texas A&M Librarians earn an average of 15 vacation days per year in addition to 12 to 15 holidays each year.
