Students, faculty, and staff, your Texas A&M University ID Card is your library card. With your ID you can borrow materials from our vast collections. The Libraries also provides some services for individuals not affiliated with Texas A&M.
Checking Out Materials
For Texas A&M University staff, faculty, and students, most library books have Standard Loan Periods. Exceptions to standard loan periods apply for high-demand items and specialized materials. All other library guests not affiliated with Texas A&M University have reduced checkout privileges and shorter loan periods for both books and specialized materials.

If you can’t find a book or other materials that you need, request a copy or scan through Get It For Me, our interlibrary loan service.
Get It For Me
Get It For Me is a document delivery service that retrieves materials and delivers them free-of-charge. If you are looking for materials that are unavailable in the Libraries catalog, we can borrow from other libraries on your behalf.
Suggest a Purchase
The Texas A&M University Libraries welcomes suggestions from the TAMU community. All requests will be evaluated based on TAMU Libraries collection development policies and availability of funds.
Lending to Other Libraries
Request loans and photocopies from Texas A&M University Libraries or from Texas A&M Medical Sciences Library.
