About MSL | Canyon (VERO)

vero canyon

VERO (Veterinary Education, Research, and Outreach) in Canyon, Texas was established in 2009 and is a collaborative research partnership  between the Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences and West Texas A&M University’s College of Agriculture and Natural Sciences. In fall 2021 the 2+2 DVM Program was initiated through VERO. Students in the program complete their first two years of study in Canyon..

Medical Sciences Library services to the Veterinary Medical component of VERO and the students enrolled in the 2 + 2 DVM Program are unique. This is the only location where MSL does not have a physical presence and relies on collaboration with West Texas A&M Coronette Library to assist in providing circulation services of print books for our VERO patrons including students engaged in the 2 + 2 DVM program .

Even though we lack a physical presence in Canyon, the Medical Sciences Library is committed to providing research and education services to the Veterinary Medicine faculty, staff, and students at VERO through virtual interactions, be it email, Teams or Zoom.
