Which members of the TAMU community are included in Scholars@TAMU?

Scholars@TAMU represents the expertise of faculty and full-time researchers at Texas A&M University, and its affiliated extension centers and institutes.


Why don't I see my department represented in Scholars@TAMU?

Scholars@TAMU strives to maintain the evolving nomenclature of colleges and departments at A&M.  If your department is not represented in Scholars@TAMU, please contact us at scholars@library.tamu.edu


How is data added to Scholars@TAMU? 

Manual: Profile, Academic background, Grants/Awards, News
Researchers can manually update information in their profiles by clicking “EDIT MY PROFILE” from any Scholars@TAMU page. For guidance, we have a tutorial available.

Automated: Scholarly Works, Courses, Works by Students
Data is automatically gathered from a number of sources and aggregated by the VIVO software.  Researchers can update this information by clicking “EDIT MY PROFILE” from any Scholars@TAMU page.

Since Scholars@TAMU uses linked data, it does take a few hours for information from the database to be updated on the website.  We appreciate your patience.


Can I change information in my Scholars@TAMU profile?

Yes, simply click “EDIT MY PROFILE” from any Scholars@TAMU page and log in with your TAMU NetId credentials. For guidance, we have a tutorial available. 

Scholarly works information is updated automatically every week.  If a researcher would like to manually add a publication or update publication information, they can submit a request while editing their profile.
