The Texas A&M University Libraries and the College of Arts and Sciences are sponsors of the Don Kelly Research Collection of Gay Literature and Culture Fellowship for the academic year 2024-2025. The Fellowship covers all aspects of LGBTQ+ Studies, from history to the visual arts. Research topics can include, but are not limited to, the following areas relative to the LGBTQ+ communities: pulp fiction, literature, film, protest movements, culture, art, popular literature, serials, international, Andy Warhol, Beat Poets, artist books, race, and gender.
The Fellowship residencies range from two weeks up to four weeks and are based in College Station, utilizing resources within the Don Kelly Research Collection of Gay Literature and Culture housed in the Cushing Memorial Library and Archives. The Fellowship stipend is limited to $1000 per week with a minimum of two weeks ($2,000) and a maximum of $4,000 (4 weeks) for the duration of each residency.
Fellowships are open to all scholars and artists.
Applications are accepted on a rolling-basis. Awardees will be notified and residencies should occur between October 1, 2024 and August 31, 2025.
