About Us
MSL | Houston serves TAMU Health and EnMed faculty, staff, students, and residents in the Houston Area. The library is located on the second floor of the Discovery Tower in the Texas Medical Center. It is accessible through swipe access and staffed by a professional staff member and librarian during the work week.
Dedicated space for the library was designated during the creation of the School of Engineering Medicine in Discovery Tower, which was completed in late 2020. In Early April 2021, the library space was completed, furnished, and opened for patron use via swipe access.
The Medical Sciences Library was fortunate to hire Gregg Doty, an experienced professional staff member, in June 2023. In December of 2023, Melanie Sorsby started as the Houston medical librarian. Melanie provides services to Texas A&M Health affiliates around the Houston area.
