Why Open Pedagogy?
Open Pedagogy is access-oriented and learner-driven. Through the practice of Open Pedagogy, students have the opportunity to co-create learning materials, participate in shared decision-making, work collaboratively, and produce renewable assignments. These practices combine to grant students greater agency than is typically common in classrooms today. Characteristically, this activity drives greater levels of engagement, offers opportunities for meaningful and collaborative reflection, as well as increased motivation for learning.
