The Library at Texas A&M University at Qatar supports the teaching, research, and outreach missions of the University in an environment that fosters learning and inquiry. A core professional collection of over 7,000 titles is complemented by a basic collection in the arts & humanities of around 3,000 volumes.

Students may also request books and journal articles from the libraries on the main campus where there is a print collection of more that 4 million volumes using our Get It For Me service.

Get It For Me is a document delivery service, which supplies print books or electronic copies of journal articles or book chapters, free of charge to all students, staff and faculty. Print books generally arrive in Qatar within five to ten working days. Electronic versions normally are emailed within one to two days. Material not available from the main campus libraries can often be obtained from other North American universities and libraries and generally arrive within two to four weeks.

Extensive online resources are available to students both within the library and via remote access. This includes more than 100,000 electronic journal and newspaper titles, around 11,000 databases, and 1.8 million electronic books. Students can locate books and thousands of journals by author, title, subject, and keyword using the Online Catalog. A multi-search tools which aggregates many journals and databases is also available from the library main page.

Online Chat with main campus librarians, which makes an experienced librarian available via computer, is a great way to start a research project. Also available are professional librarians who are able to teach individuals and groups how to use the library tools and resources. There is also a body of online research guides available on the library’s website for independent, anytime learning.
