System Management

OAK Trust (Digital Repository) is built on the open source DSpace system, developed by MIT and Hewlett Packard and now with more than 1000 installations worldwide. The University Libraries' Digital Initiatives unit works to ensure optimal system performance and high availability. Services they perform in support of OAK Trust include:

  • System monitoring, testing, and debugging

  • System administration

  • Monitoring and upgrading Repository utility programs and middleware

  • Developing system enhancements

  • Bulk ingest of large Collections (content and metadata)

OAK Trust (Digital Repository) is available for use 24 hours per day, 7 days per week, with the exception of maintenance and upgrade periods. Short-term interruptions and maintenance announcements will be posted on the Repository home page.

The Office of Scholarly Communication unit provides end-user support by phone, email, and in-person Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
