Evans Library to Reroute First Floor Services Jan. 5-11

Marcomm | January 05, 2011

Flooring on the first level of Sterling C. Evans Library will be resealed Jan. 5-11, rerouting patrons to services and offices. The Look Reading Room, Poor Yorick’s coffee shop and staff offices will be accessible through an alternate route:

Take the first set of elevators to the second floor. Then, take the second set of elevators or the stairs back to the first floor.

During this period, the Ask Us desk will be temporarily relocated to the second floor. Patrons can use open-access computers on the fourth floor of Evans Library, or the first floor of the Annex.

“We’ve done major housekeeping and maintenance in preparation for the return of students and faculty,” explained Charles Gilreath, interim dean of the University Libraries. “We hope the cleaner, shinier floors will make up for the temporary inconvenience,” he added.
