The Tech Bar
Any Texas A&M student, faculty, or staff member with an active NetID can check out electronics from the Tech Bar for free! Equipment reservations are available up to seven days in advance. Walkups are also welcome.
Equipment varies by library location. The Evans Annex has the widest variety of equipment with more items coming soon to the Business Library (BLCC). Select a library location under the category to view items available at that library.

Borrowing Policies
It’s easy! Just remember the Tech Bar Rule of 7s.
- You can reserve equipment up to 7 days in advance.
- You can keep equipment for up to 7 days.
- There is a $7 per day, per item late fee charge.
- If an item is overdue more than 7 days, you will be charged the item’s full replacement cost.
Tech Bar items are checked out on a different system from our other materials (books, media, etc.) and will NOT show up on your MyLibrary account.
If you have lost items or fees over $75 on your library account, you will not be able to pick up equipment until fees are resolved.
Items must be picked up and dropped off at the same location.
Reservations are not transferable. Only the person who placed the request may check out the item.
Checkouts may be affected by Libraries and university closures.
