Libraries Develop Mobile-friendly LibCat Interface

Marketing and Communications | April 21, 2014

The University Libraries developed a new, mobile-friendly interface for LibCat that is now available for all faculty, staff and students to test before it goes into production this May.

LibCat is the Libraries’ online catalog that includes records for the materials that the Libraries hold, such as books, journals, videos, documents and other materials.

The new interface for LibCat is based on responsive web design principles, which will display web content appropriately regardless of the device being used. The new LibCat is compatible on smartphones—in both portrait and landscape mode—and on an iPad, Chromebook, notebooks and regular computer screens without having to scroll, pan and resize.

Please test the new, mobile-friendly LibCat interface and let us know what you think.
