New Brody Chairs

COLLEGE STATION, TX – The Texas A&M University Libraries would like to thank the Association of Former Students (AFS) for a generous gift which was used to purchase 18 individual study-pods called Brody Chairs.

These chairs, installed in the Evans Library (3rd and 6th floors) and the Evans Library Annex (6th floor), are self-contained work spaces ergonomically designed for focused task work by individuals. The use of the Brody Chairs helps the Libraries meet the demand for additional quiet study space, supportive seating and additional power supplies. Aggies have used social media to give a thumbs up to the purchase. A typical response has been that the Brody Chairs are “the best thing in the world! Thank you…”. Based on the overwhelmingly positive student feedback, the Libraries expect to purchase additional chairs during the next phase of renovations.
