The Evans Library offers Amazon Kindle ebook readers for checkout to Texas A&M students, faculty and staff. The Kindles have 6" E Ink "Electronic Paper" reading screens, 170 ppi, and come with protective covers, carrying cases and USB cables. Each holds more than 150 books in their memory and uses a proprietary format that restricts content to titles purchased from Amazon.com. 

The library has 18 Kindles for checkout.  As a result of high demand, the wait period may be several weeks to a few months.

The loan period is 7 days with no renewals.
