Cushing Library Awarded Grant for Mexican Colonial Collection | |
| Cushing Memorial Library and Archives has been awarded a grant for $84,500 from the Council on Library and Information Resources (CLIR) for the Mexican Colonial Collection, Discovering a New World: Cataloging Old and Rare Imprints from Colonial and Early Independent Mexico. | ||

| West Campus Library will be closed Saturday, Jan. 7 and Sunday, Jan. 8 because of extreme inside temperatures due to problems with cold water chillers on the west side of the Texas A&M University campus. | ||

David H. Carlson Named Dean of the Texas A&M University Libraries | |
| David H. Carlson has been named dean of the Texas A&M University Libraries by the Texas A&M University System Board of Regents, effective July 1, 2012. He currently serves as professor and dean of library affairs for the Morris Library at Southern Illinois University Carbondale (SIUC) in Carbondale, Illinois. |
