What Are Course Reserves?
Course Reserves provide access to course readings and materials for the educational programs at Texas A&M University. They are print or electronic materials selected by faculty for use in a specific course. Reserve materials can include books, book chapters, textbooks, journal articles, maps, old exams, professor's notes, and homework solutions necessary for course work. Listing of course readings and access to electronic reserve materials is available at http://library-reserves.tamu.edu
Print reserve collections are held in one of 4 locations (Course Reserves & Current Periodicals on the 2nd floor of the Evans Library, 1st floor of West Campus Library, 1st floor of Medical Science Library and the Policy Sciences & Economics Library).
Instructors are invited to request materials be print on print or electronic reserves for courses currently being taught. They are also encouraged to make use of individual accounts in Docutek, the electronic reserves system, to manage their own electronic reserves. To do so, they need only inquire of library staff at the Course Reserves & Current Periodicals desk. Course Reserve Request Form
