Julie Mosbo Ballestro Awarded ALCTS Presidential Citation

COLLEGE STATION (May 2019)- The Association of Library Collections & Technical Services (ALCTS) awarded Julie Mosbo Ballestro, interim director of Cushing Memorial Library and Archives, director of Preservation, and William and Susan Ouren Preservation Librarian, the ALCTS Presidential Citation of 2019.

Julie Mosbo Ballestro is recognized for her outstanding leadership and service within the Preservation and Reformatting Section (PARS). During the 2018-2019 year, Julie started her term as chair of PARS and, due to unexpected vacancies, ultimately ended up maintaining her chair-elect responsibilities.

The ALCTS Presidential Citation recognizes distinguished achievements by ALCTS members who make significant contributions to the association and to the profession. Awarded by the current ALCTS President, this award consists of a citation and will be presented on Saturday, June 22 at the ALCTS Awards Ceremony during the 2019 American Library Association (ALA) Annual Conference & Exhibition in Washington, DC.

The Association for Library Collections & Technical Services (ALCTS) is the national association for information providers who work in collections and technical services, such as acquisitions, cataloging, collection development, preservation and continuing resources in digital and print formats. ALCTS is a division of the American Library Association.
