The Texas A&M University Libraries Preservation Unit teamed up with the Southeastern Conference (SEC) to save decades' worth of historical documents related to the athletic conference.

The Friends of the Texas A&M University Libraries have generously provided funds to the University Libraries’ Preservation Unit to create a preservation outreach program — The Friends Preservation Assistance Program. The program allows the Libraries’ Preservation Unit to share their expertise and resources by helping preserve valuable collections and items that are housed across the Texas A&M campus.

The Texas A&M University Libraries are proud to host the virtual Libraries and Veterans National Forum, which will take place from September 13th through September 24th, 2021. The Libraries and Veterans National Forum is led by librarians Sarah LeMire, Stephanie Graves, and Beth German and is funded by a $150,000 grant from the Institute of Museum and Library Services.

Texas A&M University Libraries is proud to participate in and host Coming Out Together to Share our History: LGBTQIA+ Collections in College Station, Houston, and Beyond at Cushing Memorial Library and Archives from July 12 through December 16, 2021. The exhibit is co-curated by Cushing Library and other institutional partners across the region.

A special exhibition case was installed at Cushing Library in April to house the map. The display case was made in Milan, Italy by Goppion S.p.A., who have manufactured cases for the Mona Lisa in the Louvre and for British crown jewels displayed in the Tower of London.

The University Libraries and Cushing Memorial Library and Archives are proud to announce the winners of the Book Collecting Contest. Helena MacCrossan, Class of 2023, took the top honor. Kyle Mullen, Class of 2024, earned second place.

Starting this year, the Texas A&M University Libraries have begun to participate in “Read & Publish” programs with three publishers: Cambridge University Press, Company of Biologists, and the Royal Society.

Texas A&M University Libraries proudly announce the establishment of the Center for Systematic Reviews and Research Syntheses (CSRRS). Systematic reviews and other research syntheses are specialized types of literature reviews used to translate primary research into actionable information. Systematic reviews are used by the public, practitioners, policymakers, and others who seek to use the syntheses as the basis for research-based decisions and policies.ated with article
