Celebrate I Love Data Week, Feb. 9-13, 2026, with the Texas A&M University Libraries! 

Explore the life-cycle of data and learn how to optimize data at every stage with specialized online workshops brought to you by library specialists. 

Schedule of “I Love Data” Week Workshops

Monday, February 9, 1-2 p.m.

Publishing Data in the Texas Data Repository: This workshop will introduce participants to FAIR Data Principles, share how to select a data repository, and demonstrate how to publish data in the Texas Data Repository. 

Tuesday, February 10, 10-11 a.m.

Research Data Management Plans with DMPTool: This interactive workshop will examine why Data Management Plans (DMPs) are important and the components of a basic DMP. We will also walk you through how to create a DMP utilizing the powerful DMPTool step by step. 

Wednesday, February 11, 10-11 a.m.

Research Data Management Sandbox: Attendees will learn the principles of data management by playing some real data samples and analyzing a publicly available data set, attempting to re-create findings of a public data project, and critiquing data curation for a public project.

Thursday, February 12, 1-2 p.m.

Managing Research Data: A Guide to Good Practice: This interactive workshop will teach you how to think about your data so that you can manage it more easily throughout your research process. We will cover best practices for workflows, file management, documentation, storage, and preservation. 

Friday, February 13, 11 a.m.-12 p.m.

Mastering Data Management for Graduate Research: This workshop is designed to help Texas A&M graduate students build strong, practical skills for organizing, storing, documenting, and preserving their research data.
