Employee Resources interacts with the University's Employee Services Department and other campus departments to implement a comprehensive program of services for all levels of the libraries faculty, staff, graduate assistants and student employees.

Services include:

  • Recruitment and hiring processes for all faculty and non-faculty positions within the TAMU Libraries
  • Process employee actions and maintain employee records and files
  • Provide library orientation for new employees
  • Assist staff and supervisors in performance review and development
  • Refer staff to Employee Assistance Program when applicable
  • Direct the university's performance evaluation in the libraries
  • Manage the university's compensation, classification and career ladder programs in the libraries
  • Provide staff development and training
  • Provide interpretation and clarification of University and Library policies and procedures
  • Facilitate communications among faculty, staff, supervisors and administrators
  • Provide direction in the administration of Affirmative Action/Equal Opportunity Employment in the Libraries
