Special Collections

The Texas A&M University Libraries has several collections that contain rare or unique materials (manuscripts, rare books, archives), formats (photographs, maps, artifacts), and specialized topics for research and instructional use.

The Cushing Memorial Library & Archives collections fall under the following collecting areas: Texas A&M University Archives; Language & Literature; Texas & Borderlands; Science Fiction & Fantasy; Book & Printing History; Gender & Ethnic Studies; History of Ideas; Exploration & Expansion.

Map Collections

The Map collections consist of atlases and gazetteers, topographic and geological maps, GIS datasets and much more.

Medical Sciences Library Rare Books & Materials

The Medical Sciences Library Historical Veterinary Collection contains rare books and materials that document veterinary medicine from the 16 th Century through the 20 th Century. The collection includes the first published book on veterinary medicine, Vegetii Renati Artis Veterinariae (1528).

 

OAKTrust Repository

The OAKTrust is an open access digital repository for collecting, preserving, and distributing the scholarly output of the Texas A&M University including theses and dissertations.
